Chili con carne, or simply chili, is a Mexican dish that translates from Spanish as "chili with meat." Although the main ingredients are chili peppers and meat, Mexicans also add corn, beans, tomatoes, bell peppers, and other vegetables. To soften the spicy flavor, serve it with sour cream. Chili can be eaten as a main course or as an appetizer, wrapped in a tortilla.
