1 glass (st.) - 250 ml.
3/4 cup (st.) - 180 ml.

  • 850 g canned cannellini beans with liquid
  • 2 fried chili peppers

  • 1 large onion, chopped
  • 4 finely chopped garlic cloves
  • 2 tbsp. salt

Cooking the dish according to the recipe:

  1. In a blender or food processor, puree the roasted chili peppers and cilantro until smooth. Set aside.
  2. Combine the olive oil, onion, garlic, and salt in a large Dutch oven over medium-high heat. Cook until the onion is translucent, 5-6 minutes. Add the turkey and cook until cooked through, breaking up the meat with a wooden spoon, about 7-8 minutes.

  3. Add the flour, chili powder, cumin, black pepper, and cayenne pepper and cook until fragrant, about 2 minutes. Add the chicken broth and scrape up any browned bits stuck to the bottom of the pan. Add the prepared chili and cilantro puree. Bring to a boil, then reduce the heat to a simmer.

Add the beans and simmer, partially covered, until the turkey is tender and the chili has thickened, about 1 hour. Remove from heat, cover, and keep warm until serving. Garnish before serving.
