Canned tuna has long been the perfect ingredient for light, nutritious, and healthy salads. To avoid the hassle of trying to create a filling and delicious dinner, prepare a quick salad with Italian pasta, tuna, canned beans, and celery, topped with a flavorful dressing made with sour cream, mayonnaise, and lemon juice that pairs beautifully with the fish. For this salad, it's best to use canned tuna; its shape allows it to perfectly retain salad juices and sauces, enhancing the dish's flavor.



The recipes use measuring containers with the following volumes:
1 glass (st.) - 250 ml.
3/4 cup (st.) - 180 ml.
2/3 cup (st.) - 160 ml.
1/2 cup (st.) - 125 ml.
1/3 cup (st.) - 80 ml.
1/4 cup (st.) - 60 ml.
1 tablespoon (tbsp) - 15 ml.
1 teaspoon (tsp) - 5 ml.
1/5 teaspoon (tsp) - 1 ml.

Ingredients for the recipe:


  • 220 g of ruote pasta (wheels)
  • 1 cup canned tuna, drained and cut into pieces
  • 1 cup chopped celery stalk
  • 1 cup canned white beans, drained and rinsed
  • 0.5 cups olives, remove pits, chop olives
  • 0.5 cup mayonnaise
  • 3 tbsp sour cream
  • 1.5 tbsp lemon juice
  • 0.5 cup chopped fresh herbs

Cooking the dish according to the recipe:


  1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the pasta and cook according to package directions. Then drain the pasta in a colander and rinse under cold water. Transfer to a bowl.
  2. Add tuna, celery, white beans and olives.

  3. Prepare the dressingIn a bowl, combine mayonnaise, sour cream, lemon juice, herbs, salt, and pepper to taste. Pour the dressing over the pasta salad and toss. Season with salt and pepper to taste and refrigerate for 3 hours.
