1. Choose your pasta
Choose for your salad the pasta that you haven't eaten in a long time and that you miss.Bring a pot of salted water to a boil. Cook 230g of any pasta according to package directions. Drain in a colander and rinse under cold water. Transfer to a large bowl.

2. Choose a protein base
Add 1 cup of any of the suggested ingredients, if desired. This salad can be vegetarian.Ingredients:
- Chicken, cook and chop
- Steak, cook and cut
- Ham or salami, cut into cubes
- Roast beef, sliced
- Canned tuna, drained and cut into pieces
- Sort out the crab meat
- Shrimp, cook and chop

- Roasted red pepper, chopped
- Olives, pit and chop
- Cheese of your choice, grated or crumbled
- Nuts of your choice, roasted and chopped
- Bacon, fry and crumble
5. Dress the salad
Here are a few easy-to-remember salad dressings. Make one of these to add a tangy, acidic twist to your salad. To add olive oil—an essential part of the dressing—simply stir in the mayonnaise.Vinaigrette sauce
Combine 1/3 cup olive oil, 2 tablespoons white wine vinegar, 1 minced shallot, 1/2 teaspoon salt and pepper to taste.
Sour cream with herbs
Mix 1/3 cup mayonnaise, 3 tablespoons sour cream, 1.5 tablespoons lemon juice, 1/2 cup chopped herbs and salt and pepper to taste.
Garlic butter
Saute 3 thinly sliced garlic cloves with a pinch of red pepper flakes in 1/3 cup olive oil over medium heat for 3 minutes; let cool. Season with salt and pepper.
Parmesan with sour cream
Mix 1/4 cup each mayonnaise and sour cream, 1 tablespoon lemon juice, 1/4 teaspoon finely grated garlic, 3/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese and salt and pepper to taste.
6. Submission
