Made with just a few ingredients, Sandra Lee's Five-Minute Salad is a unique twist on the traditional Caprese salad. Her version features frozen broccoli florets, mini mozzarella balls, and juicy cherry tomatoes.


Ingredients:

  • 4 cups frozen broccoli florets (thawed)
  • 12 cherry tomatoes, halved
  • 1/4 cup red onion, cut into half rings
  • 1/2 cup pearlini mozzarella (the size of a large pearl)
  • 1/2 cup red wine vinegar salad dressing
  • Freshly ground pepper
Substituting ingredients
1 glass (st.) - 250 ml.
3/4 cup (st.) - 180 ml.
2/3 cup (st.) - 160 ml.
1/2 cup (st.) - 125 ml.
1/3 cup (st.) - 80 ml.
1/4 cup (st.) - 60 ml.
1 tablespoon (tbsp) - 15 ml.
1 teaspoon (tsp) - 5 ml.
1/5 teaspoon (tsp) - 1 ml.

    Step 1
  • In a large bowl, combine all ingredients except black pepper.

  • Divide the mixture among 4 chilled salad plates. Serve sprinkled with freshly ground pepper.
