The beauty of pasta salad is that the hearty, neutral pasta base pairs well with virtually any food, be it vegetables, meat, or fish. Furthermore, the pasta holds delicious sauces and dressings, imbuing the entire dish with flavor. Top the pasta spirals with fragrant asparagus, corn kernels, and sun-dried tomatoes, and dress everything with a garlic-cheese sauce. This versatile salad can be served as a side dish with meat or fish, or as a filling meal on its own.



The recipes use measuring containers with the following volumes:
1 glass (st.) - 250 ml.
3/4 cup (st.) - 180 ml.
2/3 cup (st.) - 160 ml.
1/2 cup (st.) - 125 ml.
1/3 cup (st.) - 80 ml.
1/4 cup (st.) - 60 ml.
1 tablespoon (tbsp) - 15 ml.
1 teaspoon (tsp) - 5 ml.
1/5 teaspoon (tsp) - 1 ml.

Ingredients for the recipe:


  • 220 g fusilli pasta (spirals)
  • 1 cup chopped blanched asparagus
  • 1 cup blanched corn kernels
  • 0.5 cup chopped sun-dried tomatoes
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/4 cup sour cream
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1/4 tsp finely grated garlic
  • 3/4 tbsp. grated parmesan

Cooking the dish according to the recipe:


  1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the pasta and cook according to package directions. Then drain the pasta in a colander and rinse under cold water. Transfer to a bowl.
  2. Add asparagus, corn and sun-dried tomatoes.

  3. Prepare the dressingIn a bowl, combine mayonnaise, sour cream, lemon juice, garlic, Parmesan, and salt and pepper to taste. Pour the dressing over the pasta salad and toss to combine. Season with salt and pepper to taste and refrigerate for 3 hours.
