Grilled corn salad is the perfect side dish for steak. It harmoniously combines the flavors of smoky corn, chili peppers, salty cheese, aromatic cilantro, and bright, refreshing lime. Grill the corn on the cob and add sour cream for a creamier, more delicate texture. To fully appreciate this fantastic salad, serve it straight from the grill or warm.



The recipes use measuring containers with the following volumes:
1 glass (st.) - 250 ml.
3/4 cup (st.) - 180 ml.
2/3 cup (st.) - 160 ml.
1/2 cup (st.) - 125 ml.
1/3 cup (st.) - 80 ml.
1/4 cup (st.) - 60 ml.
1 tablespoon (tbsp) - 15 ml.
1 teaspoon (tsp) - 5 ml.
1/5 teaspoon (tsp) - 1 ml.

Ingredients for the recipe:


  • 8 ears of corn, soaked in cold water for 30 minutes, remove silks, leave husks on
  • Rapeseed oil
  • 1/4 cup sour cream (15-25% fat)
  • Juice of 2 limes and zest of 1 lime
  • 1 tbsp ground ancho pepper
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh cilantro leaves
  • 1/4 tbsp. grated cotija cheese

Cooking the dish according to the recipe:


  1. Preheat the grill to high heat. Grill the cobs for about 10 minutes on all sides, until lightly charred. Remove the cobs from the grill and trim the kernels with a sharp knife. Meanwhile, place a cast-iron skillet on the grill.
