Macarons are American coconut pastries that are incredibly delicious, easy to make, and can be made in large quantities. This basic recipe requires just four ingredients, not counting a pinch of salt. Coconut flakes are mixed with egg whites, sugar, and vanilla, then formed into pyramids (wet your hands with water) and baked until golden brown. A perfect treat for the holidays!
