Gnocchi (dumplings)

Gnocchi are Italian dumplings made from small round pieces of dough that are boiled in salted water or broth. The dough is made from wheat flour or semolina, eggs, potatoes, starch, spinach, and cheese.
Gnocchi are used in soups, as a first course, in combination with cheese, tomato sauce, pesto or melted butter.
