These festive chocolate chip cookies are made with just four ingredients and are crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, filled with chocolate chips. Both cookie lovers and brownie fans will love them. For this recipe, you'll need a dry brownie mix. Once you've mixed the batter, bake it like cookies, not in a cookie sheet. For a more festive look, you can decorate them with crushed peppermint candy canes.

- Position oven racks in the upper and lower thirds of the oven and preheat to 350°F (175°C). Line 2 baking sheets with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, whisk together the brownie mix, butter, and egg until smooth, then fold in the chocolate chips.
- Place 24 dough balls (about 2 tablespoons each) on the prepared baking sheets. Gently flatten each ball with the palm of your hand.
- Bake until the cookies are spread and the edges are set, rotating the baking sheets halfway through baking, 10-12 minutes. Cool the cookies on the baking sheets for 5 minutes, then transfer them to a wire rack to cool completely.
