The recipes use measuring containers with the following volumes:
1 glass (st.) - 250 ml.
3/4 cup (st.) - 180 ml.
2/3 cup (st.) - 160 ml.
1/2 cup (st.) - 125 ml.
1/3 cup (st.) - 80 ml.
1/4 cup (st.) - 60 ml.
1 tablespoon (tbsp) - 15 ml.
1 teaspoon (tsp) - 5 ml.
1/5 teaspoon (tsp) - 1 ml.

Ingredients for the recipe:


  • 450 g butter
  • 450g plus 350g semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 200 g unsweetened chocolate
  • 6 very large eggs
  • 3 tbsp. l. instant coffee granules
  • 2 tbsp vanilla extract
  • 2.25 cups sugar
  • 1.25 cups premium flour
  • 1 tbsp. baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon of salt
  • 3 cups chopped walnuts

Cooking the dish according to the recipe:


  1. Preheat oven to 180 degrees.

    Grease and flour a 30 x 45 x 2.5 cm baking tray.

    In a medium bowl, melt the butter with 450g of chocolate chips and unsweetened chocolate over a double boiler. Let cool slightly.

    In a large bowl, combine (without whisking) the eggs, instant coffee, vanilla, and sugar. Add the warm chocolate mixture to the egg mixture and let cool to room temperature.
  2. In a medium bowl, sift 1 cup flour with the baking powder and salt. Add to the cooled chocolate mixture. In a small bowl, combine the walnuts and 12 oz (340 g) chocolate chips with 1/4 cup flour, then fold into the chocolate batter. Pour the batter onto a baking sheet.
