The combination of walnuts and dried lavender imbues this simple shortbread with incredible aroma and flavor. Mix the chopped nuts into the dough and sprinkle the lavender over the dough before baking. The resulting crust is tender and crumbly.


Ingredients:

  • 1 layer of dough
  • 3/4 cup chopped walnuts
  • 0.5 tsp dried lavender
Substituting ingredients
1 glass (st.) - 250 ml.
3/4 cup (st.) - 180 ml.
2/3 cup (st.) - 160 ml.
1/2 cup (st.) - 125 ml.
1/3 cup (st.) - 80 ml.
1/4 cup (st.) - 60 ml.
1 tablespoon (tbsp) - 15 ml.
1 teaspoon (tsp) - 5 ml.
1/5 teaspoon (tsp) - 1 ml.

    Step 1
  • Knead classic shortcrust pastry, adding 3/4 cup of crushed walnuts along with the flour.
  • Step 2
  • Before baking, sprinkle the dough with 0.5 teaspoon of dried lavender. Cut the finished shortbread crust into wedges.
