These miniature upside-down muffins with maple syrup and walnuts will captivate everyone with their deliciousness. To make them, you'll need a greased metal mini muffin pan. Sprinkle chopped nuts into the bottom of each cavity, add a little maple syrup, pour in the batter, and bake. When you remove the finished muffins from the pan, the bottom layer will become a delicious topping.

Cooking the dish according to the recipe:
- Beat 220g butter, 3/4 cup dark brown sugar, and 3/4 cup maple sugar with a mixer until fluffy; stir in 1 teaspoon vanilla extract and 2 eggs. In a separate bowl, whisk together 1 1/2 cups whole wheat flour, 3/4 teaspoon baking soda, and 1 teaspoon salt, then stir into the butter mixture.
- Place 1 teaspoon finely chopped walnuts and 1/4 teaspoon maple syrup into each cavity of a mini-muffin pan, then top with 1 tablespoon of batter. Bake for 20-25 minutes at 350°F (175°C).
