Jamie Oliver's Banoffee Pie

Complexity: easily
Quantity: 1 pie
The name of the English Banoffee pie comes from the combination of the words "banana" and "toffee." These two ingredients create the filling and the amazing, unforgettable flavor of this pie. The pie crust is traditionally made from pressed crushed biscuits. It is filled with liquid toffee and bananas and topped with whipped cream. In this recipe, Jamie Oliver offers a quick, no-bake Banoffee using a ready-made store-bought pie crust. Cook the toffee and bananas and spread it on the crust, let it set, then top with banana slices, coffee-flavored whipped cream, and chocolate shavings.
1 glass (st.) - 250 ml.

1 tablespoon (tbsp) - 15 ml.
1 teaspoon (tsp) - 5 ml.
1/5 teaspoon (tsp) - 1 ml.
Ingredients for the recipe:
- 1 store-bought pie crust
- 2 bananas
- 100 ml of milk
- 4 tbsp fine sugar
- 300 ml cream
- 1 tbsp. coffee syrup
- 2 bananas, extra
- 100 g dark chocolate
We recommend
Cooking the dish according to the recipe:
- Blend two bananas with milk until smooth.
- Melt the caster sugar in a saucepan over high heat. Don't stir it, just tilt the pan slightly until the sugar turns a deep caramel color.
- Add the banana mixture to the caramel, stirring until you have a smooth toffee.
Pour into the pie crust and place in the freezer for 20 minutes (or if you don't plan to assemble the pie within 30 minutes, place it in the refrigerator). - Whip the cream, then fold in the coffee liqueur until it forms marbled streaks. Slice the bananas and arrange them over the pie filling, then spoon the whipped cream on top.
- Place a chocolate bar smooth side up on the counter. Using a sharp chef's knife, scrape it toward you at a 45-degree angle to create chocolate shavings. Sprinkle the shavings over the whipped cream.
