A refreshing summer ginger beer made at home with a very quick and easy recipe from Jamie Oliver.

Ginger drink made from carbonated water and ginger.
The recipes use measuring containers with the following volumes:
1 glass (st.) - 250 ml.
3/4 cup (st.) - 180 ml.
2/3 cup (st.) - 160 ml.
1/2 cup (st.) - 125 ml.
1/3 cup (st.) - 80 ml.
1/4 cup (st.) - 60 ml.
1 tablespoon (tbsp) - 15 ml.
1 teaspoon (tsp) - 5 ml.
1/5 teaspoon (tsp) - 1 ml.
1 glass (st.) - 250 ml.

Ingredients for the recipe:
- 150 g fresh ginger
- 4 tbsp. l. muscovado sugar
- 2 - 3 lemons
- 1 liter of sparkling water or carbonated mineral water
- Sprigs of fresh mint

Cooking the dish according to the recipe:
- Grate the ginger coarsely; you can leave the peel on if you prefer. Place the ginger and any juices in a bowl and add the muscovado sugar.
Using a vegetable peeler, remove the zest from 2 lemons, add to the bowl and pulse with a pestle for 10 seconds to release the essential oils and combine the flavors. - Squeeze the juice from 3 lemons and add to a bowl. Pour in the sparkling water.
Let it steep for 10 minutes, then taste. Adjust the acidity by adding more sugar or lemons.
Strain the ginger beer through a sieve into a large pitcher and add plenty of ice and a few sprigs of mint.
