Cooking the dish according to the recipe:
- Combine the club soda, sugar, and root beer concentrate in a very large, sturdy bowl (to avoid breaking when adding the dry ice). Do not cover. Stir gently until the sugar dissolves.
- Add dry ice to the mixture (make sure the area is well ventilated). The mixture will begin to bubble. Let the mixture sit for 15 minutes until it dissolves completely.
Pour some root beer into glasses. Top with desired amount of vanilla ice cream.
