Homemade Root Beer with Ice Cream - A Detailed Recipe.



The recipes use measuring containers with the following volumes:
1 glass (st.) - 250 ml.
3/4 cup (st.) - 180 ml.
2/3 cup (st.) - 160 ml.
1/2 cup (st.) - 125 ml.
1/3 cup (st.) - 80 ml.
1/4 cup (st.) - 60 ml.
1 tablespoon (tbsp) - 15 ml.
1 teaspoon (tsp) - 5 ml.
1/5 teaspoon (tsp) - 1 ml.

Ingredients for the recipe:


  • 1 liter of sparkling water
  • 2.5 cups of sugar
  • 2 tsp root beer concentrate
  • 450 g of granulated dry ice
  • Vanilla ice cream, for serving

Cooking the dish according to the recipe:


  1. Combine the club soda, sugar, and root beer concentrate in a very large, sturdy bowl (to avoid breaking when adding the dry ice). Do not cover. Stir gently until the sugar dissolves.
  2. Add dry ice to the mixture (make sure the area is well ventilated). The mixture will begin to bubble. Let the mixture sit for 15 minutes until it dissolves completely.

    Pour some root beer into glasses. Top with desired amount of vanilla ice cream.
