Non-alcoholic ginger beer - detailed recipe.
The recipes use measuring containers with the following volumes:
1 glass (st.) - 250 ml.
3/4 cup (st.) - 180 ml.
2/3 cup (st.) - 160 ml.
1/2 cup (st.) - 125 ml.
1/3 cup (st.) - 80 ml.
1/4 cup (st.) - 60 ml.
1 tablespoon (tbsp) - 15 ml.
1 teaspoon (tsp) - 5 ml.
1/5 teaspoon (tsp) - 1 ml.

Ingredients for the recipe:
- 1 liter of sparkling water
- 1 cup peeled and chopped fresh ginger (about 170 ml)
- 1 tbsp. sugar turbinado
- 4 allspice berries
- 2 cloves
- 1 tbsp chopped candied ginger (candied fruit)
- 2 tbsp freshly squeezed lime juice, optional

Cooking the dish according to the recipe:
- In a medium saucepan, combine the ginger, sugar, allspice, cloves, crystallized ginger, and 2 cups of water. Bring to a boil. Remove from heat, cover, and let simmer for 45 minutes.
Prepare a large bowl by setting it over ice. Strain the ginger syrup into the bowl, squeezing all the liquid out of the ginger. Cool to room temperature. - Before serving, stir the ginger syrup with sparkling water in a pitcher. Add lime juice if desired. Serve the ginger beer over ice.
Note
Ginger syrup can be stored in the refrigerator for one week..
