A beer with a "fifth flavor" is set to appear in Japan.

Another exciting new beer is about to hit the market. It's sure to please those who enjoy Japanese cuisine!

This new product is a beer with an umami flavor, which the Japanese call the “fifth taste,” including it among the four well-known ones: sweet, salty, sour, and bitter.

As Japanese brewers explain, beer with an umami flavor is ideal with rice, fish and seafood, as well as pickled vegetables!

The new beer flavor will be available in April. Visitors and residents of the Land of the Rising Sun will be the first to try and appreciate it. If the development is deemed successful, it will be released to other markets after conquering Japan!
