Michelada

How to Make Michelada
Kitchen:Mexican,
Time: 5 min.
Complexity: easily
Quantity: 1 cocktail

How pleasant it is to quench your thirst with a cool glass of lager on a hot summer day! But sultry Mexicans have gone further and created an unusual cocktail, adding lime, plenty of ice, and hot sauces, without which they can't imagine any dish. Salsa, chili sauce, and Worcestershire sauce are all used. It all depends on your imagination and the various recipe variations. Incidentally, michelada translates from Spanish as "my cold beer."

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup Mexican lager (we recommend Modelo Especial)
  • 1 lime, cut into quarters
  • 2 drops of Worcestershire sauce
  • 3/4 tsp. Tabasco sauce
  • Ice
Substituting ingredients
1 glass (st.) - 250 ml.
3/4 cup (st.) - 180 ml.
2/3 cup (st.) - 160 ml.
1/2 cup (st.) - 125 ml.
1/3 cup (st.) - 80 ml.
1/4 cup (st.) - 60 ml.
1 tablespoon (tbsp) - 15 ml.
1 teaspoon (tsp) - 5 ml.
1/5 teaspoon (tsp) - 1 ml.

We recommend

Preparation:

    Step 1
  • Wet the rim of a chilled tall beer glass with a lime wedge. Sprinkle salt on a plate. Dip the rim of the glass into the salt so that it adheres to the outside of the glass.
  • Step 2
  • Squeeze the remaining lime into the glass. Add the remaining lime wedges. Add Worcestershire and hot sauce. Fill the glass with ice, pour in the beer, and stir.
