Michelada special - detailed recipe.


Ingredients:

  • 2 bottles (330 ml each) of beer, chilled (recommended: Modelo Especial)
  • 1 lime, cut into 4 pieces
  • 2 tbsp coarse salt, for garnish
  • Ice cubes
  • 2 pinches of chili powder
  • 2 tsp light brown sugar
  • 8 dashes green hot sauce (recommended: Tabasco jalapeño hot sauce)
Substituting ingredients
1 glass (st.) - 250 ml.
3/4 cup (st.) - 180 ml.
2/3 cup (st.) - 160 ml.
1/2 cup (st.) - 125 ml.
1/3 cup (st.) - 80 ml.
1/4 cup (st.) - 60 ml.
1 tablespoon (tbsp) - 15 ml.
1 teaspoon (tsp) - 5 ml.
1/5 teaspoon (tsp) - 1 ml.

Preparation:

    Step 1
  • Chill two tall beer glasses in the freezer. Sprinkle salt into a shallow dish. Remove the glasses from the freezer and moisten the rims with a lime wedge. Dip them in salt.
  • Step 2
  • Add lime wedges and ice to glasses, then add a pinch of chili powderAdd 1 teaspoon of brown sugar and 4 dashes of hot sauce. Pour in the beer and serve immediately.
