Grapefruit beer is an acquired taste, but it's perfect for making complex cocktails. Add some ginger juice, grapefruit juice, soda water, and bourbon, and you'll have a delicious, refreshing cocktail perfect for fun house parties that's sure to please everyone.

Ingredients:

  • 2 red grapefruits, cut in half
  • 2 tablespoons grated peeled ginger root
  • 2 bottles of 0.33 l grapefruit beer
  • 1 can (0.33 l) of grapefruit soda
  • 3/4 cup bourbon
Substituting ingredients
1 glass (st.) - 250 ml.
3/4 cup (st.) - 180 ml.
2/3 cup (st.) - 160 ml.
1/2 cup (st.) - 125 ml.
1/3 cup (st.) - 80 ml.
1/4 cup (st.) - 60 ml.
1 tablespoon (tbsp) - 15 ml.
1 teaspoon (tsp) - 5 ml.
1/5 teaspoon (tsp) - 1 ml.

Preparation:

    Step 1
  • Cut 1 thin slice of grapefruit, cut into quarters, and set aside for garnish. Juice the remaining grapefruit halves into a pitcher (you should have about 1 cup of juice). Wrap the ginger in a piece of cheesecloth or a kitchen towel and squeeze the juice into the pitcher.
  • Step 2
  • Add beer, soda, and bourbon. Fill 4 glasses with ice. Pour the cocktail and garnish with the remaining grapefruit slices.
