The combination of grapefruit juice, sparkling grape juice, and cherry sauce gives this cocktail the color of a Venetian sunset. It's great straight or with a dash of Amaretto liqueur. Garnish each serving with a skewer of frozen cherries and enjoy!



The recipes use measuring containers with the following volumes:
1 glass (st.) - 250 ml.
3/4 cup (st.) - 180 ml.
2/3 cup (st.) - 160 ml.
1/2 cup (st.) - 125 ml.
1/3 cup (st.) - 80 ml.
1/4 cup (st.) - 60 ml.
1 tablespoon (tbsp) - 15 ml.
1 teaspoon (tsp) - 5 ml.
1/5 teaspoon (tsp) - 1 ml.

Ingredients for the recipe:


  • 12 frozen cherries
  • 4 bamboo skewers, 15 cm each.
  • 0.5 cups grapefruit juice
  • 1/4 cup sparkling white grape juice
  • 2 tablespoons chilled cherry sauce from the recipe "Italian Cherry Donuts"
  • 120 ml. Amaretto liqueur

Cooking the dish according to the recipe:


  1. Thread 3 frozen cherries onto each skewer. Freeze until ready to serve.
  2. Pour 2 tablespoons grapefruit juice into each of 4 champagne glasses and top with 1/4 cup sparkling grape juice.

  3. Add 0.5 tbsp cherry sauce and garnish with frozen cherry skewers. For adults, add 30 ml of Amaretto liqueur.
