How to brew chocolate beer
If you've ever tried chocolate beer, you'll probably want to know how it's made.

Beer is made from four basic ingredients: malted barley, hops, water, and yeast. Everything else is adjunct. Milk, herbs, spices, fruits, vegetables, and even animal blood are added to beer. Chocolate is also a favorite adjunct for many brewers.
There are several different ways to add chocolate to beer.
At the very beginning of the brewing process, brewers grind malted barley. Then they pour hot water over it to activate the enzymes in the barley kernels, which are necessary for breaking down starches and proteins. This is when the chocolate is added. Chocolate adds little flavor or aroma to the beer, but it does add a very rich and delicious taste.
After adding the chocolate, the beer begins to brew. It is boiled for 1-2 hours. The earlier any additional ingredients are added to the beer, the more subtle their flavor will be. The same applies to the chocolate. If it is added early in the brewing process, its flavor will be almost imperceptible, but if it is added at the end, the beer will have a completely chocolatey taste and aroma.
Some beers are brewed with chocolate, which is added during the brewing process. This creates a unique flavor that combines notes of chocolate and beer.
Sometimes, no chocolate is added during the brewing process. The grains are crushed, boiled, and then the drink is fermented. After boiling, fermentation, and all other processes are complete, chocolate is added at the very end of the brewing process. The beer is then aged in a special tank. The resulting flavor and aroma are so rich that it hardly seems to be called beer.
