This invigorating cocktail is made with bourbon, simple syrup, and freshly squeezed lime juice, which, along with crushed mint leaves, imbues the drink with a unique, vibrant flavor and aroma. Add a splash of cognac for a richer aroma and serve over ice, garnished with a sprig of mint and a wedge of lime.



The recipes use measuring containers with the following volumes:
1 glass (st.) - 250 ml.
3/4 cup (st.) - 180 ml.
2/3 cup (st.) - 160 ml.
1/2 cup (st.) - 125 ml.
1/3 cup (st.) - 80 ml.
1/4 cup (st.) - 60 ml.
1 tablespoon (tbsp) - 15 ml.
1 teaspoon (tsp) - 5 ml.
1/5 teaspoon (tsp) - 1 ml.

Ingredients for the recipe:


  • 45 ml bourbon
  • 35 ml simple syrup
  • 30 ml freshly squeezed lime juice
  • 7 ml of cognac
  • 5 fresh mint leaves + a sprig for serving
  • A wedge of lime, for serving

Cooking the dish according to the recipe:


  1. Combine bourbon, simple syrup, lime juice, cognac, and mint leaves in a shaker and smash the mint.

    To make simple sugar syrup, heat equal parts sugar and water until the sugar is completely dissolved; cool.
  2. Add ice cubes and shake vigorously. Taste, then strain over fresh crushed ice. Garnish with a sprig of mint and a lime wedge.
