A food prank is one of the most popular and entertaining April Fools' Day pranks. And if you're well-prepared and creative, it won't hurt and will be a lasting memory. Treat your loved ones to lasagna, which isn't lasagna at all, but a delicious cake similar to it. This "lasagna" has no noodles, just layers of pound cake, vanilla pudding, bananas, and strawberry jam. Grated white chocolate, crushed vanilla wafers, and chopped mint leaves imitate the herb cheese topping.

The recipes use measuring containers with the following volumes:
1 glass (st.) - 250 ml.
3/4 cup (st.) - 180 ml.
2/3 cup (st.) - 160 ml.
1/2 cup (st.) - 125 ml.
1/3 cup (st.) - 80 ml.
1/4 cup (st.) - 60 ml.
1 tablespoon (tbsp) - 15 ml.
1 teaspoon (tsp) - 5 ml.
1/5 teaspoon (tsp) - 1 ml.

Ingredients for the recipe:


  • 3/4 cup strawberry jam
  • 3/4 cup ricotta
  • Bananas, waffles, vanilla pudding

Cooking the dish according to the recipe:


  1. Prepare a package of instant vanilla pudding.
  2. Cut pound cake into 1/4-inch-thick slices. Arrange half the slices in a 7 x 13-inch baking pan, then press 20 vanilla wafers into the cake.

  3. Make April Fools' Day Tomato Sauce:

    Mix 3/4 cup strawberry jam with 5 crushed Oreo cookies. Spread half of the mixture on the wafers. Mix 3/4 cup ricotta with 2 teaspoons sugar; spoon half on top of the jam. Top with 1 sliced ​​banana and half of the pudding.
  4. Repeat with the remaining pound cake, 20 more wafers, the remaining jam and ricotta mixtures, another sliced ​​banana, and the remaining pudding.
  5. Grate white chocolate over the top, sprinkle with crushed vanilla wafers and mint, and refrigerate until set.
