Coconut milk

Coconut milk

The coconut is gaining more and more fans. Many assume it contains milk, but this is a grave misconception. Inside the coconut is a clear liquid and a sweet white pulp. It is from this pulp that coconut milk is made. To obtain it, the pulp is ground with hot water until a smooth consistency is achieved, and then the mixture is strained. This is how the aromatic white liquid known as "coconut milk" is obtained. This liquid is used in cooking to make soups, sauces, various sweet dishes, and cocktails. If the resulting mixture is very thick, it is even called coconut cream.

Coconut milk, according to experts, is an excellent aphrodisiac, contains a huge amount of B vitamins, fats and carbohydrates, and has a beneficial effect on our body.

It is also widely used in cosmetology; coconut milk is added to face and body creams, shampoos and hair masks.
