Chocolate Truffles for Valentine's Day - a detailed recipe.



The recipes use measuring containers with the following volumes:
1 glass (st.) - 250 ml.
3/4 cup (st.) - 180 ml.
2/3 cup (st.) - 160 ml.
1/2 cup (st.) - 125 ml.
1/3 cup (st.) - 80 ml.
1/4 cup (st.) - 60 ml.
1 tablespoon (tbsp) - 15 ml.
1 teaspoon (tsp) - 5 ml.
1/5 teaspoon (tsp) - 1 ml.

Ingredients for the recipe:


  • 1/3 cup honey
  • 1/2 cup (115 g) semisweet chocolate, chopped
  • 1/2 cup (115 g) dark chocolate, chopped
  • 110 g butter, cut into small pieces
  • 2 cups powdered sugar
  • 2 tbsp dark rum
  • 1 cup chocolate straws
  • 3/4 teaspoon sea salt

Cooking the dish according to the recipe:


  1. In a small skillet, make a honey caramelHeat the honey until it turns light brown and has a caramel aroma. Remove from heat and keep warm.
  2. In a medium bowl, melt the chocolate over a double boiler.Combine the chocolate and butter. Place the bowl over a pan of simmering water and, stirring frequently, melt the chocolate. Remove the chocolate from the heat and whisk in the caramelized honey, rum, and powdered sugar. Transfer the chocolate to a cooled metal bowl and let it sit for 5 minutes.

  3. Prepare the toppingSpread the chocolate straws mixed with salt on a plate. Use your fingers to separate a small lump from the chocolate mixture. Begin rolling the balls, first in your hands, and then in the sprinkles. You should end up with candies about 3 cm in size.
  4. Place the chocolate truffles on a parchment-lined baking sheet and refrigerate to chill.
