Oatmeal imparts a nutty flavor to these soft cookies, which is perfectly complemented by the brown butter added to the dough. The butter is slowly fried in a pan until a brown sediment forms on the bottom. This sediment is what creates such a valuable flavor that no other flavoring can match.



The recipes use measuring containers with the following volumes:
1 glass (st.) - 250 ml.
3/4 cup (st.) - 180 ml.
2/3 cup (st.) - 160 ml.
1/2 cup (st.) - 125 ml.
1/3 cup (st.) - 80 ml.
1/4 cup (st.) - 60 ml.
1 tablespoon (tbsp) - 15 ml.
1 teaspoon (tsp) - 5 ml.
1/5 teaspoon (tsp) - 1 ml.

Ingredients for the recipe:


  • 220 g butter
  • 3/4 cup dark brown sugar
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 3/4 cup rolled oats
  • 1 cup raisins

Cooking the dish according to the recipe:


  1. Melt 220 g of butter over medium heat and cook until browned, then let cool. Beat the brown butter, 3/4 cup of dark brown sugar, and 3/4 cup of granulated sugar with an electric mixer until fluffy. Stir in 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract and 2 eggs. In a separate bowl, combine 2.5 cups of flour, 3/4 teaspoon of baking soda, and 1 teaspoon of salt, then fold into the butter mixture.
  2. Add 3/4 cup rolled oats and 1 cup golden raisins and refrigerate for 30 minutes. Spoon 1 heaping tablespoon of batter onto a baking sheet and bake for 12-15 minutes at 350°F (175°C).
