Oatmeal cookies with thyme - a detailed recipe.


Ingredients:

  • 1.5 cups premium flour
  • 1/2 cup whole grain flour (wholemeal flour)
  • 1/4 cup oatmeal
  • 1 tbsp. l. wheat germ
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon of salt
  • 1 teaspoon chopped thyme
  • Freshly ground pepper
  • 3 tbsp. molasses
  • 1/3 cup vegetable oil
  • 3/4 cup milk
Substituting ingredients
1 glass (st.) - 250 ml.
3/4 cup (st.) - 180 ml.
2/3 cup (st.) - 160 ml.
1/2 cup (st.) - 125 ml.
1/3 cup (st.) - 80 ml.
1/4 cup (st.) - 60 ml.
1 tablespoon (tbsp) - 15 ml.
1 teaspoon (tsp) - 5 ml.
1/5 teaspoon (tsp) - 1 ml.

Preparation:

    Step 1
  • Preheat oven to 230°C. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • Step 2
  • In a bowl, combine all the flour, oats, wheat germ, baking powder, salt, thyme, and a pinch of pepper. In another bowl, combine the molasses, vegetable oil, and milk. Pour the mixture into the flour bowl and stir.
  • Step 3
  • Place 1/4 cup of the dough onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing it 2 inches apart. Using a pastry brush, brush the cookies with milk and sprinkle with plenty of oats, thyme, and salt. Bake the oatmeal cookies with thyme until golden brown, about 12 minutes.
