Bake delicious homemade oatmeal cookies with chocolate chips, walnuts, and raisins. They're crispy on the outside, yet soft and chewy on the inside, just like we love classic oatmeal cookies. You can use any chocolate you like for the filling. Break a chocolate bar into pieces or use chocolate chips.


Ingredients:

  • 1 and 1/4 cups brown sugar
  • 1 egg and 2 egg whites
  • 1/4 cup vegetable oil
  • 1.5 cups of oatmeal
  • 1 cup whole wheat flour
  • 0.5 cup wheat germ
Substituting ingredients
1 glass (st.) - 250 ml.
3/4 cup (st.) - 180 ml.
2/3 cup (st.) - 160 ml.
1/2 cup (st.) - 125 ml.
1/3 cup (st.) - 80 ml.
1/4 cup (st.) - 60 ml.
1 tablespoon (tbsp) - 15 ml.
1 teaspoon (tsp) - 5 ml.
1/5 teaspoon (tsp) - 1 ml.

Preparation:

    Step 1
  • In a bowl, combine 1 1/4 cups brown sugar, 1 egg, and 2 egg whites. Stir in 1/4 cup vegetable oil, 1.5 cups rolled oats, 1 cup whole wheat flour, 0.5 cup wheat germ, and 1 teaspoon each of baking soda and salt.
  • Step 2
  • Add 0.5 cups chocolate chips and 1/4 cup each raisins and walnuts. Drop the batter 1 tablespoon at a time onto lined baking sheets and smooth out the mixture evenly. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 12-15 minutes.
