This classic frosting, which takes just minutes to make, can be used to fill cakes, decorate shortbread cookies, cupcakes, and more.



The recipes use measuring containers with the following volumes:
1 glass (st.) - 250 ml.
3/4 cup (st.) - 180 ml.
2/3 cup (st.) - 160 ml.
1/2 cup (st.) - 125 ml.
1/3 cup (st.) - 80 ml.
1/4 cup (st.) - 60 ml.
1 tablespoon (tbsp) - 15 ml.
1 teaspoon (tsp) - 5 ml.
1/5 teaspoon (tsp) - 1 ml.

Ingredients for the recipe:


  • 3 cups powdered sugar
  • 1 cup of butter
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1-2 tsp whipping cream

Cooking the dish according to the recipe:


  1. In the bowl of a stand mixer fitted with the whisk attachment, combine the powdered sugar and butter. Mix thoroughly on low speed, then increase the speed to medium and beat for another 3 minutes.
  2. Add vanilla extract and cream and continue beating on medium speed for another 1 minute, adding more cream if necessary to ensure the cream is not too thick and is easy to spread.
