The vibrant summer cocktail Meloncello is named by combining the names of its two main ingredients – melon (watermelon) + limoncello. This drink is made with limoncello, Italy's national liqueur, which gives it a refreshing tartness, light rum, and watermelon juice. Top it off with sparkling water and enjoy a stunning sparkling cocktail.



The recipes use measuring containers with the following volumes:
1 glass (st.) - 250 ml.
3/4 cup (st.) - 180 ml.
2/3 cup (st.) - 160 ml.
1/2 cup (st.) - 125 ml.
1/3 cup (st.) - 80 ml.
1/4 cup (st.) - 60 ml.
1 tablespoon (tbsp) - 15 ml.
1 teaspoon (tsp) - 5 ml.
1/5 teaspoon (tsp) - 1 ml.

Ingredients for the recipe:


  • 1 cup watermelon, diced and seeded
  • 100 ml. limoncello liqueur
  • 15 ml lemon or light rum
  • Carbonated water
  • Yellow or pink decorative cocktail sugar (available in specialty stores), optional
  • Ice cubes
  • Lemon wedge

Cooking the dish according to the recipe:


  1. Dip the rim of a short glass in sugar (optional) and refrigerate. Puree the watermelon in a blender until the juice is released.
