The Long Island Iced Tea's uniqueness lies in the fact that, while being one of the strongest cocktails, it looks like a harmless iced tea. Although the cocktail was invented on Long Island in New York in the 1970s, the idea behind the drink is nothing new. Similar cocktails were already being made in the 1920s during Prohibition, disguising whiskey and other spirits as tea. Mix vodka, gin, rum, tequila, and orange liqueur with ice and top with cola. For the ultimate touch, garnish your "iced tea" with lemon wedges.
