Italian gelato differs from regular ice cream in that it has a lower fat content. It's made with milk, cream, and various fruit flavors. However, this ice cream also pairs wonderfully with wine, making it an excellent low-calorie, refreshing dessert for adults. This recipe describes the technique for making a basic wine gelato. You can choose the color or type of wine, which will determine the flavor of your treat. To make it, you'll need an ice cream maker.



The recipes use measuring containers with the following volumes:
1 glass (st.) - 250 ml.
3/4 cup (st.) - 180 ml.
2/3 cup (st.) - 160 ml.
1/2 cup (st.) - 125 ml.
1/3 cup (st.) - 80 ml.
1/4 cup (st.) - 60 ml.
1 tablespoon (tbsp) - 15 ml.
1 teaspoon (tsp) - 5 ml.
1/5 teaspoon (tsp) - 1 ml.

Ingredients for the recipe:


  • 150 ml of milk
  • 90 ml heavy cream
  • 70 g of sugar
  • 180-300 ml of red wine
