Dress up basic mashed potatoes with milk and butter by adding fresh herbs and grainy mustard, which will burst into a creamy flavor with a pleasant, tart flavor. For the smoothest mash, press the potatoes through a potato masher.

1 glass (st.) - 250 ml.
3/4 cup (st.) - 180 ml.
2/3 cup (st.) - 160 ml.
1/2 cup (st.) - 125 ml.
1/3 cup (st.) - 80 ml.
1/4 cup (st.) - 60 ml.
1 tablespoon (tbsp) - 15 ml.
1 teaspoon (tsp) - 5 ml.
1/5 teaspoon (tsp) - 1 ml.

Ingredients for the recipe:


  • 1 kg of potatoes, unpeeled
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 110 g unsalted butter
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped fresh parsley
  • 2 tablespoons grainy Dijon mustard

Cooking the dish according to the recipe:


  1. Place the potatoes in a medium saucepan, cover with cold water, and add 2 tablespoons of salt. Bring to a boil and simmer, uncovered, until tender, about 45 minutes. Drain.
