These festive mashed potatoes will be just as delightful as the main course. Simply top plain mashed potatoes with toasted walnut-herb butter and crumbled blue cheese. Get maximum flavor with minimal effort. This side dish is perfect for roasted turkey or chicken.



The recipes use measuring containers with the following volumes:
1 glass (st.) - 250 ml.
3/4 cup (st.) - 180 ml.
2/3 cup (st.) - 160 ml.
1/2 cup (st.) - 125 ml.
1/3 cup (st.) - 80 ml.
1/4 cup (st.) - 60 ml.
1 tablespoon (tbsp) - 15 ml.
1 teaspoon (tsp) - 5 ml.
1/5 teaspoon (tsp) - 1 ml.

Ingredients for the recipe:


  • 1 kg whole yellow potatoes
  • 0.5 cup chopped walnuts
  • 1 cup of hot milk
  • Blue cheese with mold

Cooking the dish according to the recipe:


  1. Make classic mashed potatoes.
  2. Fry 0.5 cup chopped walnuts, 2 tablespoons each of chopped rosemary and parsley, 0.5 teaspoon of salt in 4 tablespoons of butter, add a pinch of sugar.

  3. Sprinkle the puree with crumbled blue cheese and drizzle with toasted nut butter.

    Classic mashed potatoes


    Cover 1 kg of whole yellow potatoes with cold water and add salt; simmer for 45 minutes. Drain, peel, and mash with 55-110 g of butter. Add 1 cup of hot milk, salt, and pepper to taste; mash until smooth.
