If you're making mashed potatoes for a holiday table, give them a more sophisticated flavor by adding grated truffled Pecorino cheese. Serve with warm cream and butter and let sit, covered, for a few minutes to allow the flavor to develop.



The recipes use measuring containers with the following volumes:
1 glass (st.) - 250 ml.
3/4 cup (st.) - 180 ml.
2/3 cup (st.) - 160 ml.
1/2 cup (st.) - 125 ml.
1/3 cup (st.) - 80 ml.
1/4 cup (st.) - 60 ml.
1 tablespoon (tbsp) - 15 ml.
1 teaspoon (tsp) - 5 ml.
1/5 teaspoon (tsp) - 1 ml.

Ingredients for the recipe:


  • 450 g of potatoes
  • 2/3 cup cream (10%)
  • 0.5 cup pecorino cheese with truffle

Cooking the dish according to the recipe:


  1. Boil 450g of peeled and quartered potatoes until tender, 30 minutes; drain.
  2. Heat 2/3 cup of heavy cream (10%) in a saucepan and add 2 tablespoons of butter. Add the potatoes and mash.

  3. Add 0.5 cups of grated truffle-infused Pecorino cheese, salt, and pepper to taste. Cover and let sit for 5 minutes.
