This recipe, or rather, this way of serving fruit and ice cream, is a lifesaver when you don't have time to prepare elaborate desserts but want to impress your guests. It's all about the combination of contrasting flavors and textures. A scoop of vanilla gelato is served on a plate with orange and grapefruit slices (peeled and thawed), sprinkled with flaky salt, crushed almonds, and drizzled with extra-virgin olive oil and orange blossom honey. - 2/3 cup crushed almonds biscotti cookies
- 2 cups vanilla gelato
- 4 tsp extra-virgin olive oil
- 2 tablespoons orange blossom honey
