This light and refreshing watermelon-flavored fruit sorbet is the perfect treat for a summer house party or a fitting end to dinner. It can be made with watermelon or any type of melon. The pulp is whipped with lemon juice, sugar, and a couple of spoons of vodka. This amount of alcohol in the dessert is unlikely to get you drunk, but it will enhance the fruit flavors. To freeze the sorbet, you'll need an ice cream maker, into which the mixture is poured when very cold. Then, chill it for a few more hours in the freezer before enjoying.

1 glass (st.) - 250 ml.
3/4 cup (st.) - 180 ml.
2/3 cup (st.) - 160 ml.
1/2 cup (st.) - 125 ml.
1/3 cup (st.) - 80 ml.
1/4 cup (st.) - 60 ml.
1 tablespoon (tbsp) - 15 ml.
1 teaspoon (tsp) - 5 ml.
1/5 teaspoon (tsp) - 1 ml.

- 3 tablespoons freshly squeezed lemon juice
- 2 tablespoons of vodka
- 250 g sugar, about 1 and 1/4 cups

Cooking the dish according to the recipe:
- Place the melon or watermelon in a food processor and blend until smooth. Add the lemon juice, vodka, and sugar and continue blending for another 30 seconds. Refrigerate the mixture until it reaches 4°C (39°F); depending on the temperature of your ingredients and your refrigerator, this could take anywhere from 30 minutes to 1 hour.
- Pour the cooled mixture into an ice cream maker and freeze according to the manufacturer's instructions. Transfer the sorbet to an airtight container and freeze for 3-4 hours before serving.
