A stunning sorbet with a rich fruity flavor and a very simple recipe. Consider this if you have a lot of fresh fruit or berries that have lost their appearance but are still edible, or if you simply want to enjoy a natural, homemade treat without unnecessary artificial additives. Make the fruit puree and freeze it in an ice cream maker. Transfer the finished sorbet to a container and store it in the freezer. You'll always have a healthy and refreshing dessert on hand. Enjoy it plain as ice cream, or serve it with a slice of warm cake, Belgian waffles, or crepes.

The recipes use measuring containers with the following volumes:

1 tablespoon (tbsp) - 15 ml.
1 teaspoon (tsp) - 5 ml.
1/5 teaspoon (tsp) - 1 ml.

Cooking the dish according to the recipe:

  1. Berries: Rinse the strawberries, remove the stems, and cut in half. Peel and core the fruit, then cut in half. Cut larger fruits into 1 cm pieces.
  2. Puree the fruit in a food processor with sugar, lemon juice, vodka, and salt. Transfer to another container and refrigerate for 4 to 6 hours, until the puree reaches 4°C (39°F).

  3. Then, transfer the fruit puree to an ice cream maker and process according to the manufacturer's instructions. The mixture should resemble soft-serve ice cream. Transfer the sorbet to an airtight container and freeze for at least 4 hours.
