Time: 1 hour.
Complexity: easily
Quantity: 24 - 32 cookies

These soft chocolate chip cookies are among the most popular homemade treats in America. They're perfect for on-the-go snacks. Plenty of butter, brown sugar, and egg imbue them with a rich flavor and a deliciously chewy texture, while large chocolate chunks guarantee a satisfying bite. Add any chocolate you like to the dough—dark or milk—broken into chunks of your desired size. For thicker cookies, roll the dough into balls on a baking sheet. Serve with a large glass of warm milk.
