Cook perfectly boiled eggs. What could be simpler than boiling an egg? Yet, we often find ourselves frustrated with overcooked eggs or eggs that peel poorly. These simple instructions will help you easily boil eggs to the desired doneness, making them easy to peel. Easy peeling is achieved by adding a spoonful of baking soda to the water before boiling, cooling the cooked eggs in ice water, and boiling them without boiling: bring the eggs to a boil and then let them sit in hot water for the specified time. This will prevent overcooking the yolk, even if you're hard-boiling them.

The recipes use measuring containers with the following volumes:
1 glass (st.) - 250 ml.
3/4 cup (st.) - 180 ml.
2/3 cup (st.) - 160 ml.
1/2 cup (st.) - 125 ml.
1/3 cup (st.) - 80 ml.
1/4 cup (st.) - 60 ml.
1 tablespoon (tbsp) - 15 ml.
1 teaspoon (tsp) - 5 ml.
1/5 teaspoon (tsp) - 1 ml.

Cooking the dish according to the recipe:

  1. Place the eggs in a large saucepan with a lid. Fill with cold water, covering them completely, and add baking soda. Place the saucepan over high heat and bring to a boil. Once the water boils, turn off the heat and cover the saucepan with a lid.
  2. Let the eggs sit in the hot water until they reach your desired doneness: 3 minutes for soft-boiled eggs; 6 minutes for medium-soft; 12 minutes for hard-boiled eggs.

  3. Prepare a bowl of ice water. Place the hard-boiled eggs in the ice water to cool them completely before peeling.
