Shrimp with horseradish - a detailed recipe.


Ingredients:

  • 1/4 cup tomato paste
  • 1/4 cup horseradish, squeezed out of excess water
  • 3 tbsp olive oil, plus more for greasing
  • 3/4 tsp hot sauce
  • Coarse salt and freshly ground pepper
  • 900 g large sea shrimp, heads removed and shells removed (the remaining heads and shells can be used to make broth)
  • Lemon wedges, for serving
Substituting ingredients
1 glass (st.) - 250 ml.
3/4 cup (st.) - 180 ml.
2/3 cup (st.) - 160 ml.
1/2 cup (st.) - 125 ml.
1/3 cup (st.) - 80 ml.
1/4 cup (st.) - 60 ml.
1 tablespoon (tbsp) - 15 ml.
1 teaspoon (tsp) - 5 ml.
1/5 teaspoon (tsp) - 1 ml.

Preparation:

    Step 1
  • In a large bowl, combine tomato paste, horseradish, olive oil, hot sauce, 1.5 teaspoons salt, and pepper to taste; add shrimp and toss to combine. Cover and refrigerate for 30 to 60 minutes.
  • Step 2
  • Preheat a roaster or oven with a grill. Grease a baking sheet with olive oil. Place shrimps in a single layer and fry, without turning, for 4-8 minutes, until cooked through. Serve the shrimp hot or warm with lemons.
