Shrimp with fried garlic "Camerones De Ajo" - detailed recipe.


Ingredients:

  • 700 g peeled and gutted shrimp (remove tails and cut in half)
  • 1 cup olive oil
  • 10 cloves of garlic, peeled and thinly sliced
  • Salt and ground black pepper
  • 1 lemon
  • 1/4 bunch chopped parsley leaves
Substituting ingredients
1 glass (st.) - 250 ml.
3/4 cup (st.) - 180 ml.
2/3 cup (st.) - 160 ml.
1/2 cup (st.) - 125 ml.
1/3 cup (st.) - 80 ml.
1/4 cup (st.) - 60 ml.
1 tablespoon (tbsp) - 15 ml.
1 teaspoon (tsp) - 5 ml.
1/5 teaspoon (tsp) - 1 ml.

Preparation:

    Step 1
  • Heat a cazuela or similar oval-shaped pot. Pour in the olive oil and toss with the chopped garlic. Bring to a gentle simmer and cook over very low heat until the garlic is golden brown, about 15 minutes.
  • Step 2
  • Season the shrimp with salt and ground black pepper. Place them in a pan and remove from heat. Let the shrimp sit until they turn pink and tender.

    Drizzle the shrimp with lemon juice from a whole lemon and sprinkle with chopped parsley. Remove the shrimp with a slotted spoon and serve on a plate, topped with golden fried garlic slices and a sprinkle of parsley.
