Bacon-wrapped shrimp - a detailed recipe.


Ingredients:

  • 450 g (about 24 pieces) large shrimp, peeled, do not remove the tails
  • 12 slices bacon, cut in half
  • Juice of 1 lemon
  • 1 clove garlic, grated
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon thyme
  • 3 tbsp. l. olive oil
Substituting ingredients
1 glass (st.) - 250 ml.
3/4 cup (st.) - 180 ml.
2/3 cup (st.) - 160 ml.
1/2 cup (st.) - 125 ml.
1/3 cup (st.) - 80 ml.
1/4 cup (st.) - 60 ml.
1 tablespoon (tbsp) - 15 ml.
1 teaspoon (tsp) - 5 ml.
1/5 teaspoon (tsp) - 1 ml.

Preparation:

    Step 1
  • Position the rack 2-2 inches from the heat source and preheat the oven to broil. Combine the lemon juice, garlic, paprika, thyme, olive oil, and 1/2 teaspoon salt in a shallow baking dish. Add the shrimp and toss thoroughly; marinate in the refrigerator for 20 minutes.
  • Step 2
  • Coat the shrimp thoroughly in the marinade. Remove the shrimp one at a time and wrap them in a piece of bacon. Secure with a toothpick, if desired. Place them seam-side down on a baking sheet. Pour the remaining marinade over the shrimp. Grill, turning the shrimp once, until the bacon is lightly crisp and the shrimp are cooked through, about 5 minutes.
