Bacon-wrapped shrimp with crab filling

How to Make - Bacon-Wrapped Crab-Stuffed Shrimp
Time: 30 min.
Complexity: easily
Servings: 12

This recipe will make your shrimp cocktail especially delicious. Each shrimp is stuffed with real crab meat and breadcrumbs and wrapped in a strip of bacon, which becomes deliciously crispy after baking. The secret ingredient is steak sauce. It's added to the crab mixture and brushed over the shrimp while baking for an especially rich flavor.

We recommend

Preparation:

    Step 1
  • Position an oven rack in the upper third of the oven and preheat the oven to grill mode.
  • Step 2
  • In a large bowl, combine the crab, breadcrumbs, mayonnaise, parsley, lemon zest and juice, garlic, 2 tablespoons steak sauce and 1/2 tablespoon salt and stir until smooth.
  • Step 3
  • Make a deep slit in the back of each shrimp and open it like a book. Place the shrimp on a baking sheet and press the tails firmly so they lie flat. Spread the crab mixture evenly on top, then lay a piece of bacon across the crab mixture on each shrimp, tucking the ends under the shrimp and making sure they don't overlap.
  • Step 4
  • Grill in the oven until the bacon is crispy, about 10 minutes. Remove from the oven, brush with the remaining 1 tablespoon of steak sauce, and continue grilling until the bacon is deep golden brown and lightly charred in a few spots, about 2 minutes more depending on your oven. Serve with lemon wedges.
