A great sweet and savory appetizer for any holiday or family gathering.


Ingredients:

  • 12 large shrimp
  • A quarter of fresh pineapple, sliced, or 400g of canned pineapple slices in their own juice, but without the juice
  • 6 slices bacon, cut in half
  • 12 toothpicks
Substituting ingredients
1 glass (st.) - 250 ml.
3/4 cup (st.) - 180 ml.
2/3 cup (st.) - 160 ml.
1/2 cup (st.) - 125 ml.
1/3 cup (st.) - 80 ml.
1/4 cup (st.) - 60 ml.
1 tablespoon (tbsp) - 15 ml.
1 teaspoon (tsp) - 5 ml.
1/5 teaspoon (tsp) - 1 ml.

Preparation:

    Step 1
  • Heat a frying pan over medium-high heat. Holding a shrimp, place a pineapple slice into its natural curve, then roll it in a slice of bacon. Secure the roll with a toothpick. Repeat with the remaining shrimp.
  • Step 2
  • Add the shrimp to the pan and cook for about three minutes, or until the bacon is crisp and the shrimp are darkened.
