A tequila sour is a refreshing sweet and tart cocktail, enhanced in this recipe with natural pineapple juice and sage. Shake the sage, pineapple, and simple syrup in a shaker to release the aromatic juices, add tequila and lemon juice, strain the cocktail into a glass, and enjoy.

Ingredients:

  • 0.5 cups of sugar
  • 4 pieces of pineapple
  • 2 large sage leaves
  • 60 ml of reposado tequila
  • 15 ml freshly squeezed lemon juice
Substituting ingredients
1 glass (st.) - 250 ml.
3/4 cup (st.) - 180 ml.
2/3 cup (st.) - 160 ml.
1/2 cup (st.) - 125 ml.
1/3 cup (st.) - 80 ml.
1/4 cup (st.) - 60 ml.
1 tablespoon (tbsp) - 15 ml.
1 teaspoon (tsp) - 5 ml.
1/5 teaspoon (tsp) - 1 ml.

Preparation:

    Step 1
  • Prepare sugar syrup:


    Combine 0.5 cups of water and sugar in a saucepan and bring to a boil over medium heat. Cook, stirring, until the sugar dissolves. Let the syrup cool. You should have about 2/3 cup of syrup. This is enough for 10 cocktails.
  • Step 2
  • For one drink: In a shaker, use a wooden spoon to mash the pineapple, sage, and 15 ml of simple syrup. Add the tequila and lemon juice, fill the shaker with ice, and shake well. Strain the cocktail into a chilled coupe glass.
