Shrimp and fried Chinese cabbage - a detailed recipe.

Ingredients:

  • 600 g peeled large shrimp
  • 1 tbsp Asian chili sauce sambal oelek with garlic
  • 3 tablespoons of vegetable oil
  • 700 g of Chinese bok choy, chopped
  • 4 cups frozen white rice
  • 1/3 cup barbecue sauce
  • Lime wedges for serving
Substituting ingredients
1 glass (st.) - 250 ml.
3/4 cup (st.) - 180 ml.
2/3 cup (st.) - 160 ml.
1/2 cup (st.) - 125 ml.
1/3 cup (st.) - 80 ml.
1/4 cup (st.) - 60 ml.
1 tablespoon (tbsp) - 15 ml.
1 teaspoon (tsp) - 5 ml.
1/5 teaspoon (tsp) - 1 ml.

Preparation:

    Step 1
  • In a small bowl, combine the barbecue sauce, chili garlic sauce, and 1/3 cup water. Heat 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil in a large skillet over high heat. Season the shrimp with salt and add to the skillet. Cook gently until lightly browned, 2 to 3 minutes. Flip and continue cooking until opaque, 1 to 2 minutes. Remove to a plate.
  • Step 2
  • Add 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil to the skillet. Add the cabbage, season with salt, and cook, stirring occasionally, until brightly colored and crispy, about 3 minutes. Add the barbecue sauce mixture and shrimp. Stir until smooth and cook for 30 seconds to 1 minute.
  • Step 3
  • Reheat the rice as directed on the label. Top with shrimp and cabbage and serve with lime wedges.
