Ingredients:

  • 550g medium-sized sea shrimp, heads removed and shells removed, leaving tails on
  • 850 g canned chickpeas, drained and rinsed under water
  • 6 tbsp. l. olive oil
  • Sea salt
  • 3 cloves garlic, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon finely grated lemon zest
  • 1/2 tsp. dried flakes pepper
  • 1/2 cup coarsely chopped fresh parsley
  • Lemon wedges, for serving
Substituting ingredients
1 glass (st.) - 250 ml.
3/4 cup (st.) - 180 ml.
2/3 cup (st.) - 160 ml.
1/2 cup (st.) - 125 ml.
1/3 cup (st.) - 80 ml.
1/4 cup (st.) - 60 ml.
1 tablespoon (tbsp) - 15 ml.
1 teaspoon (tsp) - 5 ml.
1/5 teaspoon (tsp) - 1 ml.

Preparation:

    Step 1
  • Preheat oven to 230°C. Combine chickpeas with 1 tablespoon olive oil and 1/2 teaspoon salt in a baking dish and spread evenly over the bottom of the dish. Bake until golden brown, about 20 minutes.
  • Step 2
  • Meanwhile, toss the shrimp with 4 tablespoons olive oil, garlic, lemon zest, pepper flakes, and 1 teaspoon salt. Let marinate for 10 minutes.
  • Step 3
  • Remove the pan with the chickpeas from the oven and add the shrimp. Continue baking for another 5-8 minutes. Drizzle with the remaining 1 tablespoon of olive oil and sprinkle with parsley.

    Serve shrimps and chickpeas with lemon wedges.
